Erica Synths' Polivoks VCA has a distinctive architecture – two differential opamp based VCAs in series each for independent control of LFO and ADSR control signal amplitude.  Control voltage to attenuation behavior of this VCA is nonlinear and not logarithmic, it is kept authentic to the response of ПОЛИВОКС. As with most Erica Synths DIY projects, Polivoks VCA PCB/Panel set includes as standard all esoteric parts - it appeared that the world has run out of differential opamp ICs K118UD1A(B), but Erica Synths developed an exact clone of that IC! Erica Synths introduced plenty of improvements to achieve higher dynamic range, better reliability, lower noise, accept higher signal levels, keep consistent behavior, self-tuning of two internal offsets (that had to be manually tuned in ПОЛИВОКС), less susceptibility to radio interference and higher linearity, though the heart of it is kept the same. Nevertheless those, who like extreme experiences, can omit all added elements and use the same PCB (with few extra jumpers) to build a 100% authentic Polivoks VCA.
