This is not a radio. It is a sample player that behaves like a radio.

It's a digital way to simulate radio-powered compositions by John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Don Buchla's voltage-controlled radio experiments. It uses a teensy3.1 to play files from a SD card to simulate a voltage controlled AM/FM/Shortwave/Time Travel radio.

These kits are put together and graciously supplied to us by Thonk - you can now get the same Thonk quality kits you're used to now shipping from within the US!

A MUST-HAVE Module!!!Review by Mr. Mojo Risin'
Radio Music is without a doubt one of the most creative modules in my setup. I have four of them now. The PCB/Panel Kit from ModularAddict is one of the best values I've found. Their set also includes the required MicroSD card adapter for free. The updated firmware allowing the use of standard *.WAV files makes it much easier to work with sample data.

This module is an easy build because all of the components are through-hole. It is EXTREMELY cost effective when buying parts from and OSH Park. I used an OSH Park Teensy v3.2 board (Purple OSH Park Edition available from which works great and is priced about $9 less than others found on the Internet. As a bonus, new firmware now enables you to turn the Radio Music module into a completely different module... the Chord Organ. Instead of playing samples from the SD card, it synthesizes chords.

If you are looking for some weird *.WAV files for your Radio Music module, check here for 11GB of free samples (MediaFire download links are found in the "Show More / Description" sections): (Posted on 6/25/2017)
