Erica Synths recalculated component values to make it work properly from +-12V PSU, added clock rate and stepped CV indicator LEDs, developed a skiff friendly PCB and cool powder coated panel with bug design printed in two colors. The module doesn’t need wiring and calibration, and it’s comparably easy to build.

The Wogglebug has nostalgic value for them, because in the beginning of 2014 a Wogglebug panel with a bug design was the first Erica Synths project offered to the DIY community!

Features:

  • 3x random audio rate outputs (Woggle tone, Tone, Ring)
  • 3x random CV outputs (Woggle, Smooth, Stepped)

Not for beginnersReview by Evolve
I bought this as one of my first (okay second or third) builds and struggled with it greatly. There is no mouser cart, and finding parts was a bit of a journey. They used some outdated parts on the BOM, and also weird form factors without documenting that. The SMD part was easy and fun, but I really struggled getting this working. Plus, unshielded power headers suck. I'm going to have to order a second PCB to get this working no doubt. (Posted on 12/13/2016)
Random all the things!Review by Steve
Very easy, well documented build from Erica Synths. Required no troubleshooting on my end after the build, it just works. Very fun. (Posted on 8/2/2016)
Fun build, great wogglesReview by Jon
The BOM and build document resulted in a working module the first time it was connected. The build was fun and even more so the woggling that ensued. (Posted on 4/8/2016)
